The purpose of Mack Road Partnership is to promote Mack Road business through the development and operation of a PBID and other programs and initiatives. The Partnership is governed by a board of directors representing businesses and property owners.
The Mack Road Partnership is a PBID (Property-based Business Improvement District) that was approved by Sacramento City Council after a successful campaign by property owners in July 2010. This new assessment district is a public private partnership with support from the City of Sacramento, Sacramento County, Sacramento Police Department and various other public agencies.
Through a self-imposed assessment, the Mack Road Partnership is poised to take aim at safety and security issues on the corridor, as well as economic development, marketing, advocacy and beautification projects. Leading of the successes from the past five years on Mack Road, the Partnership will continue to work with the active community and business leaders.
The district consists of approximately 160 properties and includes two hospitals (Kaiser and Dignity Health | Methodist), a half dozen large apartment complexes and three community-serving shopping centers.
